Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton won the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai and heads to the seasonal finale in Brazil with a seven-point advantage over Felipe Massa, his sole challenger for the world title.

The victory earned Lewis a memorable treble - pole position (his seventh of the year), fastest lap and a 14.9 second winning margin over Felipe.

Heikki Kovalainen was delayed by understeer during the opening stint due to the fitting of a set of mismatched tyres; but he led for three laps before being delayed by an entirely separate tyre issue that forced him to pit early on lap 35. Early indications from Bridgestone suggest this was caused by a puncture and not a tyre failure. Heikki was eventually forced to retire on lap 50 following a loss of hydraulic pressure.

With one round remaining, Lewis leads the drivers’ championship with 94 points; Felipe lies second with 87; Heikki is seventh on 51. In the constructors’ championship, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes remains second with 145 points; Ferrari leads with 156 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton finished the Japanese Grand Prix at Fuji in 12th place, after being pushed into a spin by title contender Felipe Massa on lap two and dropped to the back of the field. A subsequent drive-through penalty - for a first-corner incident - left him unable to challenge for a points finish.

Heikki Kovalainen retired from third place due to an engine failure on lap 17.

The result does little to change the overall standings at the top of the drivers’ championship. Lewis still leads with 84 points, five ahead of Felipe Massa who finished seventh to collect two points. Heikki is sixth with 51 points.

After 16 out of 18 races, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes lies second in the constructors’ championship with 135 points; Ferrari leads with 142 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton finished the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix, the first night race in Formula 1 history, in third place.

After 61 eventful laps with two Safety Car periods, Lewis came home 5.9 seconds behind winner Fernando Alonso. Heikki Kovalainen ended up 10th.

After 15 out of 18 races,Vodafone McLaren Mercedes has taken the lead in the Constructors' Championship with 135 points ahead of Ferrari with 134 points. Lewis extended his total in the drivers' rankings to 84 points, ahead of Felipe Massa (77 points) who did not score today. Heikki is sixth with 51 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Heikki Kovalainen finished the Santander Italian Grand Prix at Monza in second place.

After 53 laps, with intermittent rain and changeable track conditions, Heikki came home 12.5 seconds behind maiden winner Sebastian Vettel.

Lewis Hamilton, who had started 15th on the grid, ended up seventh.

After 14 out of 18 races, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes lies second in the world constructors' championship with 129 points behind Ferrari with 134 points. Lewis leads in the drivers' rankings with 78 points, ahead of Felipe Massa on 77 points. Heikki is sixth with 51 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton was classified third in the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps, behind Felipe Massa and Nick Heidfeld. He lost his victory following a Stewards’ decision that imposed a 25sec time penalty on him. The team registered its intention to appeal this decision. Heikki Kovalainen retired on the final lap due to a gearbox failure.

After 13 out of 18 races, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes lies second in the Constructors’ Championship with 119 points behind Ferrari with 131 points. Lewis leads in the drivers’ ranking 76 points ahead of Felipe Massa on 74 points. Heikki is sixth with 43 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen finished the European Grand Prix on the new Valencia street circuit in second and fourth positions respectively.

After 57 laps, Lewis came home 5.6 seconds behind winner Felipe Massa. Heikki was 39.7 seconds behind Felipe.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes scored 13 points, more than any other team, and reduced the gap in the Constructors' Championship behind the leader, Ferrari, from 11 points to eight points.

After 12 of 18 races, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes now has 113 points, while Ferrari has 121.

Lewis extended his lead in the drivers' rankings from five to six points; he now leads with 70 points ahead of Felipe Massa. Heikki improved to fifth with 43 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Heikki Kovalainen took his first Formula 1 victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Heikki finished 11 seconds clear of Toyota’s Timo Glock after leader Felipe Massa retired three laps from the finish.

Heikki's win marks the third successive victory for the team and makes Heikki the 100th Formula 1 winner since the World Championship began in 1950. Lewis Hamilton finished fifth after pitting early to change a damaged front tyre on lap 41.

After 11 races, Lewis maintains his overall lead in the drivers’ championship with 62 points. Heikki remains sixth with 38 points. In the constructors’ championship, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes has moved up to second position with 100 points. Ferrari still leads with 111 points.

The second home Grand Prix victory in a fortnight and the second consecutive race win for Lewis Hamilton and Vodafone McLaren Mercedes. Lewis’s supreme win in the Santander German Grand Prix was the team’s first at Hockenheim in a decade, marking 10 years since Mika Häkkinen won in a McLaren-Mercedes MP4-13 in 1998.

After 67 laps, Lewis finished 5.5sec ahead of Nelson Piquet (Renault) and Felipe Massa (Ferrari). Heikki Kovalainen, whose race was disrupted by the Safety Car, finished fifth.

As the Formula 1 World Championship commences its second half, Lewis now leads the series with 58 points. He lies ahead of Ferrari drivers Felipe Massa (54 points) and Kimi Räikkönen (51). Heikki is sixth overall with 28 points. In the Constructors’ Championship, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is third with 86 points; Ferrari leads with 105 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton won the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the first of the team’s two home races. After an eventful race over 60 laps in changeable weather conditions, he lapped all but two drivers and came home 68.5sec ahead of Nick Heidfeld in second place.

Lewis’s team mate Heikki Kovalainen, who had started from his first ever Formula 1 pole position, ended up fifth.

Halfway through the championship, after nine out of 18 Grands Prix, Lewis is back in the lead with 48 points; he is tied on points with Ferrari drivers Felipe Massa and Kimi Räikkönen. Heikki is sixth overall with 24 points.

In the Constructors’ Championship, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is third with 72 points; Ferrari leads with 96 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Heikki Kovalainen finished the French Grand Prix in Magny-Cours in fourth place. After 70 laps, he came home 28.9sec behind winner Felipe Massa (Ferrari) despite starting 10th on the grid following a five-place grid penalty.

His team mate Lewis Hamilton ended up 10th; qualifying third, he was demoted to 13th due to the 10-place grid penalty he received at the Canadian Grand Prix. Lewis also received a drive-through penalty for missing the apex of Turn Seven following a move on Sebastian Vettel on the opening lap.

After the eighth of 18 Grands Prix, Lewis is fourth in the drivers’ ranking with 38 points, Massa leads with 48 points. Heikki is sixth overall with 20 points. In the Constructors’ Championship, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is third with 58 points; Ferrari leads with 91 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Heikki Kovalainen finished the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal in ninth place. After 70 laps, Heikki took the chequered flag 54.4sec behind winner Robert Kubica.

His team-mate Lewis Hamilton retired on lap 20 after his pit stop during the Safety Car period, when he hit Kimi Räikkönen’s Ferrari at the pit lane exit after Kimi had stopped.

After the seventh of 18 Grands Prix, Lewis lies second in the drivers’ rankings, tied with Felipe Massa on 38 points; Kubica leads with 42 points. Heikki is sixth overall with 15 points. In the Constructors’ Championship, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is third with 53 points; Ferrari leads with 73 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton won the Monaco Grand Prix and took the lead in the Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship.

Lewis took the chequered flag 3 seconds ahead of Robert Kubica and 4.8 seconds ahead of Felipe Massa. Lewis’ team mate Heikki Kovalainen came home eighth after he had stalled his car at the beginning of the formation lap and had to start from the pit lane behind the field.

It is Lewis’ sixth Grand Prix victory and the second of the season after Australia.

After the sixth of 18 Grands Prix, Lewis leads the drivers’ ranking with 38 points ahead of Kimi Räikkönen. Heikki is sixth overall with 15 points. In the Constructors’ Championship, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes moved up to second with 53 points; Ferrari leads with 69 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton finished the Turkish Grand Prix in Istanbul in second place. After 58 laps, he came home 3.7 seconds behind winner Felipe Massa.

Lewis’s team mate Heikki Kovalainen had to make an unscheduled stop on lap two following a coming-together at the first corner with Kimi Raikkonen and ended up 12th.

After the fifth of 18 Grands Prix, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is third in the Constructors’ Championship with 42 points; Ferrari leads with 63 points. Lewis is third in the drivers’ rankings with 28 points; Heikki is sixth with 14 points. Räikkönen leads with 35 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton finished the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona in third place. Lewis came home 4.1 seconds behind winner Kimi Räikkönen.

Lewis’s team mate Heikki Kovalainen hit the tyre barrier at the Campsa corner on lap 22 and the exact cause of the accident is still to be confirmed.

After the fourth of 18 Grands Prix, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is third in the Constructors’ Championship with 34 points; Ferrari took the lead with 47 points ahead of BMW Sauber on 35 points.

Lewis moved up to second in the drivers’ ranking with 20 points; Heikki is sixth with 14 points. Räikkönen leads with 29 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Heikki Kovalainen finished the Bahrain Grand Prix in fifth position. Heikki came home 26.7 seconds behind winner Felipe Massa and set the fastest lap of the race.

Lewis Hamilton had to make an early and unscheduled pit stop after an incident on lap two with Fernando Alonso and finished 13th.

After the third of 18 Grands Prix, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is third in the Constructors’ Championship with 28 points. Lewis is third in the drivers’ rankings with 14 points.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes drivers Heikki Kovalainen and Lewis Hamilton finished the Malaysian Grand Prix at the Sepang Circuit in third and fifth positions respectively.

After 56 laps, Heikki came home 38.4 seconds behind winner Kimi Raikkonen whilst Lewis was fifth, 46.5 seconds behind.

After the second of 18 Grands Prix, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes maintains the lead in the Constructors’ Championship with 24 points ahead of BMW Sauber with 19 points and Ferrari with 11 points. Lewis leads the drivers’ ranking with 14 points ahead of Kimi and Nick Heidfeld (tied on 11 points) and Heikki, who is fourth with 10 points.

In a brilliant start to the season, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton won the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, the first race of the 2008 Formula 1 World Championship.

Hamilton was 5.4 seconds ahead of Nick Heidfeld and Nico Rosberg to take his fifth career Grand Prix victory.

Hamilton's new team mate Heikki Kovalainen came fifth after leading for eight laps and running second for 21 laps.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes lead the Constructors’ World Championship with 14 points ahead of BMW Sauber and Williams Toyota with 8 points each. Hamilton takes the lead in the drivers’ ranking with 10 points ahead of Heidfeld (8) and Rosberg (6).
