Funding

What we fund

The Vodafone Foundation concentrates its grantmaking activities in the areas outlined in its Mission Statement and the Vodafone Group Social Investment Policy, with a focus on programmes in countries where Vodafone Group companies operate.

Where we fund

Most projects will be funded in partnership with local Vodafone company foundations or community programmes. All enquiries regarding potential projects in a particular country should be directed to the local Vodafone contact. For a listing of Vodafone Group subsidiaries, their countries of operation and relevant contact details.

Only projects with a global or multinational scope will be considered directly by The Vodafone Foundation.

Supporting projects in Sport and Music

Working with its Foundation, Vodafone is keen to invest in sport and music projects designed to benefit some of the most disadvantaged young people in the communities in which we operate. The areas where sport and music can make a contribution and in which the Trustees are interested include:

  • Health: increasing awareness of HIV / Aids, tackling heart disease and obesity and promoting well being.
  • Education: improving behaviour, literacy and numeracy skills, cultivating citizenship.
  • Welfare: alleviating poverty and the and promoting the development of sustainable economic activity.

During the course of the next three years The Foundation will be seeking to make a financial contribution in the region of £12million. The Foundation has funded a number of projects within this area through its local foundations and is keen to scale up this engagement and work collaboratively with others who have used sport and music to deliver some of the benefits outlined above.
